Eloping to Port Douglas
You may not want the fuss or intrusion of many guests into what you feel is a personal moment. Maybe your dream is for a very private ceremony for just the two of you in a beautiful setting symbolic of your relationship. Maybe you have been married before and do not wish to repeat the big wedding.
I specialise in designing intimate ceremonies for eloping couples. I live at Newell Beach, one of the best kept secrets of Far North Queensland. Newell Beach is a stunning, white sand, palm fringed and secluded tropical beach. The beach lends itself to many photographic opportunities, under the coconut trees, along the endless white sands, at the water’s edge, to capture your intimate wedding moments in a magical setting.
At the bottom of this page are a couple of recent weddings videos posted on youtube where I was the celebrant. Weddings were held at Newell Beach one of the many idyllic locations. The settings are on the beach, at my home, www.mantaray.com.au, in the cane fields at the rear of my home.
There are many other alternate locations and sites in the nearby region, including the famous 4 mile beach in Port Douglas, Little Cove in Port Douglas, rainforest settings by crystal clear creeks. You could even consider a helicopter ride to a remote coral island or atoll. Choices are boundless. Photos of these locations can be provided.
Newell Beach offers a range of accommodation options, should you also choose to stay in this location. These range from charming bed and breakfast establishments, which offer honeymooners special deals to absolute beach front holiday let homes. Bed and breakfast accommodation offers stays from one night to as many as you wish. Just do a Google search under bed and breakfast plus Newell Beach for a bed and breakfast listing. For the budget conscious, bed and breakfast accommodation is a good option, given there are no minimum stay requirement.
There are also many beautiful, absolute beach front holiday let homes at Newell Beach. Most have minimum stay requirements and also a location fee if the wedding reception is held on site. These homes are often a good option if you have a small wedding party also requiring accommodation as they can accommodate 6-8 guests and are self-catering. A visiting caterer can come to do the wedding breakfast, lunch, nibbles or dinner and can set up in the garden or on the decks overlooking the sea. Again a Google search under holiday homes plus Newell Beach will bring up a range of options.
Visiting hair and make-up artists, photographers and caterers can be recommended. I can also arrange the legal witnesses, if required. My commitment is to make your elopement as stress free, yet beautiful and magical as you would wish.
