Firstly congratulations, you have found each other and are now wishing to celebrate your love and plan your unique and special wedding day in this tropical paradise of Far North Queensland. A loving commitment for life is one of life’s most enriching and vital experiences – it is a time of significant change and renewal when you as a couple leave behind your single lives as sons and daughters start your new lives together as a couple. I would consider it a great privilege to be your Marriage Celebrant on this eventful and joyous occasion and to assist in designing your own distinctive ceremony.
There is infinite choice of breathtaking locations in Port Douglas, Cairns, The Daintree, Tablelands and surrounds. You can choose from stunning beachside locations to crystal clear creeks in the rainforest; from resorts, non-denominational wedding chapels, botanical and private gardens. At the bottom of this page are a couple of recent weddings videos posted on youtube where I was the celebrant. Weddings were held at Newell Beach one of the many idyllic locations. The settings are on the beach, at my home, www.mantaray.com.au., in the cane fields at the rear of my home.
In Australia registered Authorised Marriage Celebrants are permitted to solemnise marriages anywhere and anytime.The law allows that the ceremony can be as unique and fun as any couple could wish provided some basic legal requirements are met.
Drawing on your own ideas and with the aid of scripts, selections of readings, poetry, music, I can assist with the planning and celebrating of your special ceremony so that it is your unique and special occasion which reflects your personal style, wishes and dreams. My services for a marriage ceremony includes;
- Personalised planning of your ceremony with a choice of wedding themes – with options to include your own material, your family members and ceremonial rituals from other cultures such as hand fasting, candle lighting
- Unlimited phone and e-mail contact.
- Conducting the ceremony at venue of your choice
- Completion and lodgement of all legal documentation, including the Notice of Intention to Marry Form (NOIM) and Certificate of Marriage.
- Rehearsals as required
- Use of audio equipment, table with cloth and two chairs for signing of the Marriage Certificates if required
- A matching of celebrant wardrobe to suit your colour theme/setting
- Travel to and from the location of your choice
- A bound souvenir copy of your ceremony as a keepsake
